I am the Manby-Montgomery Career Development Fellow in German Culture at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. My research bridges contemporary literatures in German and French, investigating the specific contribution which literature – in particular, narrative fiction – can make to debates on memory ethics, identity, and national belonging.
Prior to my current position, I held a Departmental Lectureship in French based at St John’s College, Oxford (2025–26). I obtained my DPhil from Oxford in 2025 and spent time at École Normale Supérieure in Paris and Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School in Literary Studies in Berlin.
