OCCT Review Book Club

Friday 20 November 2026
17:00 - 18:00
Seminar Room 10, St Anne's College

OCCT Review Editors

Join us for the new OCCT Review Book Club where we discuss new works in comparative literature and translation studies. In these sessions, we will either be discussing texts that are still looking for a reviewer or spotlighting a recent review from the journal. The book club is for anyone interested in writing for the OCCT Review or simply curious about current trends in these fields.

For our first meeting, we will be discussing The Poetics of Self-translation by Rainier Grutman (Routledge, 2026). Please read the first chapter, ‘Translating (by) themselves?’, in preparation: the text is available online via SOLO.

Tea, coffee, & sweet treats provided!
